Lisa Davis, M.B.A., R.N.

Lisa Davis is the Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) director and section chief of the Family Health Section (FHS) for the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) in Hartford. The FHS includes MCH epidemiology, school and adolescent health, primary care and prevention, newborn screening, and children and youth with special health care needs units. Davis is responsible for over $25 million in state and federal funds for community-based programs and infrastructure building activities. Davis started with the DPH in 1995 as a nurse consultant and was later promoted to supervising nurse consultant. In 2004, Davis was promoted to public health services manager and Title V MCH director. One year later, she was promoted to section chief for the FHS. Davis serves on the state’s Developmental Disabilities Council, Medical Home Advisory Council, Sickle Cell Stakeholders Group, Health Disparities Workgroup, MCH Advisory committee and others. She is a member of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs and the Northern Connecticut chapter of the Black Nurses Association.
